A friend of mine gave me this baby.... it needed some sweet loving.
I first sanded everything with a gentle paper
Masking tape everywhere
Just about to paint it with a hammered spay paint (it looks pretty similar to the original finish)
The black hammered Tremclad from Canadian Tire
See how good it looks
The original plate was all scratched
I removed all the old paint with a gentle plastic scraper
My friend Louis Bouvier at his silkscreen workshop (look at his work, he's an amazing artist)
Even better than the real thing
The bulb is still working
Look below in the final result section, I put a link to buy the ceramic cartridge (BSR SC5H) and the needle too
All dusty

ORIGINAL MISSING LEG
As the original "leg" was missing, I used this table leg ... the dimensions were exactly the same
Sanding with a 100 grade paper
Turning the steel to give the same finish as the aluminum
Close enough
I used a filleted rod to put it back together
My little workshop
I had to rewire the "leg" with new wire a solder it back togheter
The wires ready to be placed
Few things going on in the garage at the same time
Inside the beast
I have a small ELECTROHOME APOLLO CIRCA 860
This is the final result
I got the cartridge on ebay here at CAROLE'S NEEDLES and the needle at Maddison in Laval, Québec, Canada
These are not the original speakers though, the are from a PANASONIC MODEL RS 252S
THANKS FOR WATCHING
